In an effort to promote condom usage to a reluctant, conservative yet fun-loving male audience, we made an absurd and totally unorthodox TVC for a local brand.
The overly confident main character misses every letter pointed by the doctor and the ending voiceover says “F**k until your eyes pop out” – Romanian slang for having way too much sex.
We believe it would have been a huge hit if it ran on TV as scheduled, but the whole campaign was stopped within days from airing. The client was acquired by a large multinational conglomerate that apparently had other plans for the brand.
My copywriter and I were still allowed to share it on our social channels from where it went viral and it reached more than 130.000 combined YouTube views in the first year.
